Theatre Bristol presents Into the Woods$12-16 plus applicable taxes and fees / Members save $4.25. per ticket
After a spectacular production of “The Wizard of Oz,” Theatre Bristol takes us back into the woods with Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s award-winning Broadway musical. “Be careful what you wish for” is a major theme in a story that explores the wishes and quests of fairy-tale figures like Cinderella, Jack (of the beanstalk), Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf, Rapunzel and the witch, and more than one handsome prince. Many wishes are granted, but after Act I, the play takes an unexpected turn and the community must come together to save each other and their kingdom. “Into the Woods” is one of Sondheim’s most popular musicals and features the enchanting songs “Children Will Listen,” “Last Midnight,” and “No One is Alone.” There is beautiful music, storytelling and dancing, but nobody quite lives happily ever after.
Acclaimed director Glenn Patterson (Fiddler on the Roof, Disney's Beauty and the Beast,The Music Man, Les Misérables) expertly guides the large cast through this sensational journey.
The November 15 opening night includes a gala event at which Theatre Bristol reveals their 2020 Season. Gala tickets and more information available at www.TheatreBristol.org.
